Leaning on the shoulders of Tele-Robotics

Leaning on the shoulders of Tele-Robotics

Leaning on the shoulders of Tele-Robotics

#Teleoperation, also called #telerobotics, is a technical term for the remote control of robots. In other words, it’s the technology of controlling robots remotely using communication systems.

With the aim of surpassing human limitations and enhancing capabilities, the AstraBionics Tele-Robotic solution opens doors to a world where humans can be physically present anywhere, anytime, performing intricate and demanding tasks. Where the situation is time-sensitive, hazardous, dangerous, limiting, costly, repetitive, or challenging while doing tasks such as inspection, maintenance, construction, mining, exploration, search and rescue, science, and surveying.

The applications may include:

1. Healthcare challenges

Pandemic management

Coronavirus (2019) took more than 7 million lives. Flu took 50 million. In these situations, healthcare systems compromise mainly due to a lack of healthcare personnel and accessibility to patients.

Accessibility

Emergencies are time-sensitive situations. Approximately 2 billion people lack access to emergency care worldwide.

Developing countries could avert 1.5 million deaths a year if they had access to emergency setting surgical care.

Elderly Care

There is a persistent growing need for assistance and a shortage of manpower for delivering congruous assistance.

WHO: in 2050 there will be about 2.1 billion people over 60 years old worldwide.

2. Rescue Challenges

Safety Risk

The Chernobyl disaster, killed 134 emergency workers, plant operators, and firefighters. Such disasters expose people to high levels of radiation, causing acute radiation syndrome or late complications like cancers.

Dangerous Conditions

As the US National Fallen Firefighters Foundation mentioned: in 2021, 141 firefighters died from injuries.

3. Space Challenges

Space debris

Millimeter-sized flakes can destroy satellites or puncture astronauts’ space suits. At the speed they’re moving, everyone is in danger. More than 1,000,000,000 particles smaller than 10 cm are traveling.ISS Crew CostNASA: “ISS Baseline Capabilities” such as life support, pre-staging food, and crew provisions using NASA vehicles will come in at anywhere from $88,000 to $164,000 per person per day!

Astronaut salaries for 2022 range from $81,216 to $105,579 per year. Non-Stop Space TourismThe value of the space industry in the next decade is expected to double, from $400bn to $800bn. UBS: that this market alone could reach $3 billion by 2030, requiring non-stop servicing.

Deep Space

Repairs, sampling, and assembly of space stations on Mars and deep space require extraterrestrials with continuous service.

4. Industry Challenges

Oil & Gas, Airplane, Risky JobsThere are chemical and physical Risks for chemical plant operators and hazardous waste handlers.

Archaeological Discoveries

Telerobotics plays a pivotal role in archaeological excavations, where delicate structures and unpredictable devices require careful handling. By remotely controlling robots, researchers can explore archaeological sites with precision, minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring the preservation of valuable artifacts.

Bomb and mine Neutralization

There are Explosion Risks, unpredictable Devices, and unstable Structures. There is also time Pressure and psychological stress on the personnel.

Telerobotic systems offer a safe and efficient approach to bomb and mine neutralization. By allowing experts to remotely handle explosive devices, the risk to human personnel is significantly reduced, while enhancing the precision and effectiveness of the operations.

These are all examples of where Tele-Robotic can lead and we can lean on its shoulders.

Telerobotics is transforming industries and revolutionizing the way we interact with technology. From healthcare and rescue operations to space exploration and various industrial sectors, the applications of telerobotics are vast and far-reaching. By harnessing the power of remote control, we can overcome human limitations, enhance safety, and achieve unprecedented feats, ultimately shaping a future where humans and robots collaborate seamlessly to accomplish complex tasks. The potential of telerobotics is immense, and we are only scratching the surface of its capabilities.
